The Starborn ProPlug System fastens deck boards from the face and then hides the screw under a tapered wood plug cut from the same species as the deck — so the finished surface reads as clean uninterrupted wood instead of a grid of screw heads. Unlike hidden clips, the screw goes straight through the board into the joist, which holds warped boards down flat and lets any single board be lifted later for repair.
Each kit includes the plug cutter, setting tool, screws and plugs. Plugs come in Red Balau, Yellow Balau and Ipe — pick the one that matches your decking. All three are stocked.

I Love my Golden Balau deck
I was a little unsure which product I wanted to use on my new deck. But Jason and the team at Ghent helped guide me in the right direction.
