Botanical Name: Acer rubrum (Soft / Red Maple)
Janka Hardness: ~950 lbf — durable and well suited to residential floors.
Origin: Sustainably sourced from the Northeast and milled on site.
The “wormy” look comes from natural insect tracking and mineral deposits laid down while the tree was standing. The result is a warm, creamy wood full of organic character that hides everyday wear beautifully.
