Reclaimed Heart Pine Flooring
Reclaimed Heart Pine Flooring
Reclaimed Heart Pine is salvaged from antique timbers and beams milled generations ago. Dense, richly colored, and steeped in history, it offers a warm amber patina and tight grain you simply cannot find in new-growth lumber.
Character & Origin
Botanical Name: Pinus palustris (Longleaf / Antique Heart Pine)
Janka Hardness: Exceptionally hard for a pine — slow old-growth rings give it durability well beyond modern softwoods.
Origin: Reclaimed from historic Northeastern structures and re-milled on site.
Heart Pine deepens to a honey-amber over time. Expect tight growth rings, the occasional nail hole, and patina marks — the authentic signatures of reclaimed wood.
