Solid Hemlock Flooring
Solid Hemlock Flooring
Hemlock is a classic Northeastern softwood prized for its light, even color and rustic charm. Affordable and full of character, it is a favorite for camps, cabins, and wide-plank interiors where a warm, lived-in look is the goal.
Character & Origin
Botanical Name: Tsuga canadensis (Eastern Hemlock)
Janka Hardness: ~500 lbf — a softwood that earns a worn, characterful patina over time.
Origin: Sustainably sourced from Northeastern forests and milled on site.
Hemlock works easily and takes stain well. Expect natural knots, gentle color variation, and the relaxed character that makes a rustic floor feel authentic.
